Identity Assignment

Monday July 31

Today we went to the city of Bath. Bath is famous for its Roman Baths that are fed by three hot springs. The city is full of Georgian architecture and flowers in every window. It was really cool to see such old architecture. We got to go through a tour of the Roman baths. Then we walked through the streets and shopped a little until we met with our group and went to the Museum of Costume. The museum had over 400 dresses and ensemble designed by John Bates. It was fun to see such different clothing that what we see everyday. We have to check out tomorrow so we are all frantically packing our stuff and cleaning our flat. Tomorrow is our last day in London. We're going to Buckingham Palace, i'm looking forward to that.

This is the Roman Baths in Bath, England. The
Great Bath was the center piece of the Roman
bathing establishment. The bath is lined with
45 thick sheets of lead and is 1.6 meters deep.

Here is Megan, Katie, and myself at The Great Bath.
The water was pretty green but it was way cool to
see such historical architecture.

This is the Sacred Spring. It was built in the 12th century A.D.
It rises at a rate of 1,170,000 litres each day at 46.5 degrees
celcius. The Romans used it to supply hot water to the baths.

We might have had a little too much fun trying to
mimic the mannequins poses...

There were these corsets that we could
try on and play with. It felt good on my
back and posture but taking deep breaths
was a challenge.
