Sunday July 23

Today we woke up and had to return our bikes so we rode them all the way back to the Red Light District where we rented them but this time the ride was fairly quick seeming how we knew where we were going. The ride was beautiful and peaceful. We stopped on the way and ate breakfast at a little bakery. I got an apple turn-over freshly baked and chocolate milk. The best breakfast I’ve had the whole time here! Then we returned our bikes and went looking for a momentum to remember our crazy experiences in Amsterdam and a key chain was the only thing that I could find that said “Red Light District” without having something offensive with it. Then we took the tram back to our hotel and Brighton and I were craving that hazelnut ice cream so we walked all the way to the ice cream shop to find that it was closed. So we walked back to the hotel and packed up our stuff and checked out. By the time we were ready to leave the ice cream shop was open so Brighton and I walked all the way back and bought 3 scoops of hazelnut ice cream! We took the tram to the train station and arrived 30 minutes early (as instructed) and stood in the ticket line for 10 minutes to have the man say that we were in the wrong line and we needed to go up stairs. The lady upstairs said that we were in the wrong place again and that the train was leaving in 4 minutes. I just asked what platform it was on because no one hardly ever checks the tickets and we needed to make it to the ship so we just decided to book it to the platfoticket lessess. Katie’s bag ripped open from running and her stuff went flying so we were trying to pick it up as soon as we could and Brighton tripped and fell down the stairs. We kept running as fast as we could with all of our luggage and ran onto the train. Literally under 10 seconds later the train pulled away. We were so lucky!!! The rwasn'twasn’t bad, we made friends with some English guys and had a fun time talking with them about our different cultures.

This is some graffitifitti that was on the wall by our hostel
in the Red Light District. I thought it was pretty artistic.
